Mya spent many years studying ballet pre-professionally under the direction of John Grensback at Oregon Ballet Academy; performing her first lead role in a ballet at age 15, as Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. She has attended/been accepted to summer intensive programs and trained with Houston Ballet Academy, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, Suzanne Farrel Ballet, and Oregon Ballet Theater.
When Mya is not the studio she is a full time college student at New Hope Christian College and intern with New Hope West Church. Her primary focus is Pastoral Studies with a concentration in Women’s Ministry. Her heart passion is to spread the gospel in as many ways as she can, including through the art form of dance.
