Dreamer: One who dreams
– Dream: contemplate the possibility of doing something, a visionary**
-Visionary: thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom.
Synonyms: Imaginative, creative, innovative, inspired, inventive, insightful, wise, clever, discerning, romantic
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” ~ Acts 2:17
Dreamers are most often referred to a person with their “head in the clouds” with no regard for reality. I would like to think a Dreamer actually is all of the things listed above, and more so associated with a visionary. We will encourage students at this stage to continue to dream the impossible, to create and imagine what they want to be, both in and outside of dance. We encourage kids at this age to speak things that “aren’t” as if they are. What the world would call naïve and innocent, we call innovative and imaginative. With Dreamers, all things are possible!
