Winter Dance Camp 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Identity Dance Company is hosting a winter dance camp, titled Santa’s Workshop! Includes multiple styles of dance, Christmas gift themed crafts, games & FUN! We will have 3 different camps based on age group.
Winter Camp Details:
Date: December 16th – 19th, 2024
Ages: 2-4, 9:00am – 11:30am, Cost $115
Ages: 5-7, 4:00pm – 7:00pm, Cost $125
Ages: 8-12, 4:00pm – 7:00pm, Cost $125
*Free showcase on Thursday Dec 19th for friends and family

Performance Groups
Performance Groups are for more experienced dancers, and little ones that want to be in our 2 annual productions. Some of the older groups will require placement tryouts. Others will be on recommendation. In addition to our 2 annual productions, Performance Groups may be invited to participate in multiple performances throughout the community as well. Recreational Classes

There are three words that define us as a dance company and become our Mission… Identity, Purpose, and Community!

Identity
As cliché as it sounds, every person has an identity. Whether young or old, all of us have at one point been faced with this subject. Many are finding their identity in different forms of behaviors, trends, and social media status quos. Identity is something far greater than any of that, it is truly what defines who you are. Your worth, your character, is all a part of your Identity. So often people mistake identity with their talents, gifts, or what they can “do”. Even though we’ve been given many things to be able to do on this earth, it still only plays a very small role in who we ARE. At Identity, we will encourage students to be whole, to be confident, to stand up for what is good, what is true, and what is right. If they take one dance class or 100 over time, the mission is still the same;
Your identity is not in what you DO, it’s in who you ARE.
Purpose
At identity we believe in purpose. We believe that everyone has a God-given purpose to fulfill on this earth. Furthermore, we will utilize this word purpose as the basis for everything we do, whether it be productions, shows, community performances, music selection, etc. all will be done with A PURPOSE.
What does it mean to “Dance on Purpose”? It means that you recognize that the ability to dance, is not something you came up with. It was given to you, like a gift. Now its your job to open that gift, and steward it well. When we say “Dance On Purpose”, we are saying, “Dance with intention, dance with your whole heart, dance with passion, with an awareness that your gift is not your own”. This can be applied with ANY word….replace “Dance” with “work”, “sing”, “act- whatever word you choose, its truth still rings the same. My ALL -TIME favorite word to replace dance with is “Live”: Live with intention, live with your whole heart, live with passion, live with an awareness that your gift is not your own.”
Community
People have described Identity as their home away from home, their 2nd family, a community of people that cares for them, a place they felt safe and loved….the list goes on. We value that perspective, its exactly the environment we strive to create and encourage. We believe that the picture of family is a safe community of friends and loved ones that get together for a common goal. Not only do we encourage friendships and relationship building within our students and staff, we also provide a unique group for our moms to gather once a month just to have fun, support each other and further deepen community within the studio. There is nothing more important in life than family and friends surrounding you, encouraging you in your unique identity. We hope that our heart for community shows in all that we do!
