Bio
Liz is originally from Bend Oregon. She called The Vibe Dance Center here studio home for many years, and just moved to Eugene to begin her freshman year at the University of Oregon. Liz first started dancing when she was five years old as a mouse in the Nutcracker. It didn’t take her long to decide that ballet was far too slow paced for her liking, so Liz’s mom signed her up for a hip-hop class. That’s when she decided that dance was something she would never be able to live without. She auditioned for her studios’ hip-hop competition team at age nine, and traveled with the team to competitions and conventions across the pacific northwest every year since. By age twelve Liz was taking every dance class she could possibly fit into her schedule, and competing in Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-hop, Tap, Acro, Ballet, and Musical theater. She has had many solos, duos, and trios over the years, and began teaching classes and choreographing her sophomore year of high school.
“Dancing has always been my escape from reality and my outlet to channel emotion and creativity. The teachers that I have trained under have been so influential in developing my passion for dance, and provided me the comfort of a second home at the studio. I strive to give the next generation of dancers the same quality of instruction and support that I received, and to share with them my love for this art form. The opportunity to help dancers grow and refine their skill is the greatest gift, and I am so excited to be apart of the Identity family.”
